21-Jan-2015 : La Veschaux by Brasserie de Bouillon from Belgium. Lots of carbonation, very fizzy, but not a gusher. Golden yellow color, hoppy flavor, almost like a pilsner. Slightly bitter flavor, the lemon flavor emerged after sitting in the glass for a while. #ottbeerdiary

18-Jan-2015 : Isala Winterbier BA by Friese Brouwerij. Intense caramel aromas and flavors, which gave way to a slightly spicy, cinnamon flavor reminiscent of my favorite Valentine's Day treat, cinnamon red hots. Delicious! #ottbeerdiary

17-Jan-2015 : Rubberen Robbie by Brouwerij de Prael. Actually a totally unplanned stop. Walking back to the station while playing tour guide, and just as a bathroom break was requested, there they were, like an oasis in the desert. This beer is a collaboration brew between De Prael and Oedipus Brewing. A Smoked Porter, with quite some bitterness. Was from the tap, and not much smoke flavor at first, but it did increase as it warmed up in the glass.
