This post is a part of the 2015 New Beer Every Day Beer Diary Challenge, #ottbeerdiary. Over the course of 2015, I will be trying a new beer every day. Please read the background in the link above, and enjoy reading about the most recently tasted beers below. If you’d like to join the challenge as well, let me know in the comments below, and be sure to check out Grown-up Travel Guide and his #grownupbeerdiary, where Andy Higgs came up with the diary format in use below. You can catch up on all of our posts as part of the challenge under the tag ottbeerdiary.
Day 245: September 2, 2015
Diary entry:
Back to the days of the full agendas. This morning’s agenda was quite a bit overbooked even, and I had to skip the normal Wednesday morning session to attend other meetings today. But luckily a couple of my afternoon meetings were cancelled so I had some time to catch up on the slew of emails that came in during my days off.
Well, to try to catch up.
There’s a lot going on right now…
The Beer:
Name: American Pale Ale
Style: American Pale Ale
Producer: Boundary Brewing
Alcohol content: 3.5%
Bottle size: 0.33l
Purchased from: Given to me by Steve Lamond of Beers I’ve Known
American Pale Ale by Boundary Brewing of Belfast, Ireland. For the first time, I’m drinking my own beer!
I’m a member of the co-op that owns this brewery, buying one share during their crowd funding last year. And drinking this…proud of it! A light 3.5% Pale ale, but with a nice bitterness. Looking forward to trying the others!
Commercial Description:
Boundary is a Belfast based brewery committed to creating only the most interesting of beers, focused on quality ingredients and drawing on inspiration from both the Belgian and the more modern US styles.
