This post is a part of the 2015 New Beer Every Day Beer Diary Challenge, #ottbeerdiary. Over the course of 2015, I will be trying a new beer every day. Please read the background in the link above, and enjoy reading about the most recently tasted beers below. If you’d like to join the challenge as well, let me know in the comments below, and be sure to check out Grown-up Travel Guide and his #grownupbeerdiary, where Andy Higgs came up with the diary format in use below. Day 331: November 27, 2015
Diary entry:
Today was the wrap-up workshop from the prior two weeks. Pretty good to see all the results compiled together, ready for preparation for the decision making board presentation next week.
The only downside to the sessions was that we didn’t finish as early as I’d hope. Was hoping for an early start to the weekend, so my colleague Dave and I could head off to visit a couple Christmas Markets.
We decided to hit two markets this weekend, one in Dortmund and one in Hannover.
We visited the market in Dortmund briefly last year, and wanted to visit again with a bit more time, and this seemed like a good weekend to do so.
It was still pretty quiet in most parts of the market, but all-in-all, it was an excellent time!
The Beer:
Name: Berliner Kindl Weisse mit Schuss Waldmeister
Style: Berliner Weisse
Producer: Berliner-Kindl-Schultheiss-Brauerei
Alcohol content: 3.0%
Bottle size: 0.33 l
Purchased from: Wenkers am Markt in Dortmund, Germany
Berliner Kindl Weisse mit Schuss Waldmeister. What? It’s bright green?!? Like, Neon! That was quite unexpected when it was placed in front of me. And so was its quality! A marzipan, nutty, sour flavor. Quite a surprise vs the first appearance. But…I do like it!
