This post is a part of the 2015 New Beer Every Day Beer Diary Challenge, #ottbeerdiary. Over the course of 2015, I will be trying a new beer every day. Please read the background in the link above, and enjoy reading about the most recently tasted beers below. If you’d like to join the challenge as well, let me know in the comments below, and be sure to check out Grown-up Travel Guide and his #grownupbeerdiary, where Andy Higgs came up with the diary format in use below. You can catch up on all of our posts as part of the challenge under the tag ottbeerdiary.
From December 1 through December 24, I’m going to try to use a Christmas Beer for each day of Advent as part of my #ottadvent15 2015 Advent Calendar. Follow along with the tag ottadvent15.
Day 342: December 8, 2015
Diary entry:
A decent morning.
Back to project one, which I’ve had to neglect a little in favor of project three which has been taking almost all of my time the past two months. And today’s return showed that some people really haven’t quite grasped what we’re trying to accomplish. So I just have some work to do in convincing and educating others still. And to do so in a productive and patient way.
The afternoon was much more quiet, waiting for some news on project three’s big meeting to come down. But it sounds like the official news will come tomorrow. While I’m in the middle of meetings for project two. Yup, two weeks before the end of the year, and everything comes back together again.
The Beer:
Name: Bière du Boucanier Christmas
Style: Winter Ale
Producer: Brouwerij van Steenberge
Alcohol content: 9.5%
Bottle size: 0.33 l
Purchased from: Bierhandel Willems & Zoon in Grobbendonk, Belgium
Bière du Boucanier Christmas by Brouwerij van Steenberge. 9.5% Winter Ale. Decent carbonation, yet no head. You can taste the alcohol on this one. And also the spices. A nice blend of flavors in this beer.
