It’s hard to believe that the Christmas season is here — it feels like just yesterday I was buying Halloween decorations. During the years I’m actually home long enough to set up a Christmas tree, I love to do a themed one. Admittedly, most of my Christmas trees have been Disney themed, but I have often thought about doing a food and/or wine themed one.
This year I’m in Belize, so a foodie Christmas tree is unfortunately out of the question. However, I’ve loved researching some of the quirky and fun ornaments that are out there. If you’re looking for the best Christmas tree ornaments for food travelers and foodies in general, check these out!
Global Food Christmas Tree Ornaments
Mexican taco, Chinese food takeout box, or even a pierogi? Yes, all these ornaments exist and would be awesome additions to a foodie-themed Christmas tree.
Asian Food Ornaments
Immortalize your love for Chinese food on the tree this year with these ornaments. I really love the soy sauce one! While the Chinese takeout box is certainly more exclusive to American Chinese food, it makes me a bit homesick. I miss visiting my favorite Chinese restaurant, coming home and sitting in front of the television…while eating right out of the takeout box!
Japanese food and sushi on a Christmas tree? If I had the money (and the storage space), I’d probably do an entire tree filled with sushi ornaments!
Italian Food Ornaments
Pizza, salami, and even cannoli. Makes me nostalgic to visit Italy, especially the Emilia Romagna region. Balsamico, Parmigiano Reggiano, Parma Ham, and Mortadella…some of my favorite foods in the world!
Mexican / Latin Food Ornaments
Guacamole, chili peppers, and taco trucks!
French Food Ornaments
Baguettes, macarons, and croissants. Imagine these yummy additions on your tree! There are so many macaron ornaments…I can imagine a white Christmas tree with nothing but beautifully colored macarons on them!
Breakfast Food Items
Bacon
Not surprisingly, there are a number of options for bacon-themed tree ornaments. My personal favorites are the Sur La Table hanging bacon package and the sparkly slice of bacon. The bacon periodic table is humorous too.
Coffee
Lots of options for coffee lovers. Choose from coffee makers, a cup of coffee, and even Starbucks branded ornaments. I bought the Starbucks red cup ornaments several years ago in Hong Kong – they are absolutely adorable in person! And, the Disney ones are a definite win in my book!
Eggs and Other Breakfast Items
These are definitely some of my favorite ornaments — from the cinnamon roll to the maple syrup, I want them all!
Fruits and Vegetables
For a healthier side of tree ornaments, there are a number of interesting vegetables available — everything from okra to brussel sprouts. This is just a small sample of the number of vegetable and fruit ornaments that are available from Amazon.
Tomatoes
Are you a big fan of tomatoes? Plenty of options available as well.
Pickles
There are so many cool pickle ornaments, I thought they deserved their own section!
Fruit
I love the mango and pineapple ones – those would be great for a tree in Belize!
Avocado Ornaments
I almost want to hang that avocado toast one up year round!
Fast Food
Craving a burger and fries? You can add them to your Christmas tree as well. The corn dog is my personal favorite!
Sweets and Dessert Ornaments
Looking at all the sweets and various dessert ornaments is seriously making me want to start baking right now. There are some sweet themed ornaments in other sections here, but just to satiate my sweet tooth, here are some more holiday desserts that belong on your Christmas tree.
Cupcakes
Other Desserts
Cakes, pies, popsicles, and more. The selection of sweet treats for your Christmas tree is almost endless!
Kitchen Tools
Have a favorite kitchen utensil or accessory? It’s likely there’s an ornament for it!
Chef Attire
Have a chef in your life? Here’s a selection of cool chef ornaments for your Christmas tree.
Wine, Beer, and Cocktails
Wine
I could spend hours looking up all the creative wine ornaments that are available. Everything from wine barrels to corkscrews, here’s a sampling of ornaments to excite any oenophile.
Cocktails
Prefer a mixed drink? Bloody Mary, martini, Moscow Mule, margarita, and more!
Beer
Plenty of cool options for the beer lover in your life.
Miscellaneous Foodie Ornaments
These are some other unique foodie-themed ornaments I love.

hi i like your blog content about food items..will be visiting again for updated content.. thanks for sharing…….
These are great food ornaments! Love the global food ornaments, they represent each country and region perfectly. The Japanese food ornament is a favorite, and the tortilla bowl just makes me want to go ahead and make one myself. Great research done. The food ornaments really identify with their specific countries, their flavors cannot be mistaken as any others.
