This post is a part of the 2015 New Beer Every Day Beer Diary Challenge, #ottbeerdiary. Over the course of 2015, I will be trying a new beer every day. Please read the background in the link above, and enjoy reading about the most recently tasted beers below. Day 42: February 11, 2015
Diary entry:
As I feared. Last night’s email failures on my phone spelled a bad day IT-wise at work.
At first, I thought it was just going to be a repeat of Monday. But oh, no.
Called the helpdesk first thing to confirm the same issue. And in the course of the next 30 minutes, I was hung up on by the helpdesk FIVE TIMES!
Seems that they had quite a few password issues to attend to this morning, and the helpdesk was running on their last straws already even at 8AM!
Got some people working on the issue…and it turned out to be even worse that Friday-Monday’s situation. To the point where anyone trying to send me an email this time was getting a message back that my email address was not longer valid!
And to top that all off, I was not able to log on to my laptop under my user profile, only a temp profile. Finally got the profile issue resolved, but lost all my personal settings on everything, so now I need to trial and error my way back to getting everything back the way I liked it.
I’m still missing all my agenda items in my calendar, and all my old emails prior to this morning.
Hopefully tomorrow things will be back to normal.

How far is Zihuatanejo from here?
The Beer:
Name: Den Herberg Bruin
Style: Belgian Atrong Dark Ale
Producer: Den Domus Herberg Huisbrouwerij
Alcohol content: 5.5%
Bottle size: 0.33l
Purchased from: De Hopduvel in Ghent
Tonight’s beer of the night is Den Herberg Bruin, a Belgian Strong Dark Ale from Buizingen, Belgium. 5.5% ABV. Deep brown color. Smells a bit of caramel. Taste a bit more bitter than expected. Only slight sweetness, well below the bitter. A pleasant surprise.
