This post is a part of the 2015 New Beer Every Day Beer Diary Challenge, #ottbeerdiary. Over the course of 2015, I will be trying a new beer every day. Please read the background in the link above, and enjoy reading about the most recently tasted beers below. If you’d like to join the challenge as well, let me know in the comments below, and be sure to check out Grown-up Travel Guide and his #grownupbeerdiary, where Andy Higgs came up with the diary format in use below. Day 283: October 10, 2015
Diary entry:
A productive morning.
Worked on some blog topics. Caught up on some photos and writing. Not too exciting there.
But we spent the evening in Eindhoven to see Randy Newman live in concert. He’s the singer / songwriter behind songs like I Love LA and You’ve Got a Friend in Me (from Toy Story). We got free tickets through my work, as my company is a sponsor of the Eindhoven Frits Philips Muziekgebouw and we have a two week period of free concert opportunities. A decent perk!
I had to drink tonight’s beer of the day after the concert though, since I was driving down.
The Beer:
Name: Die Schwarze Kuh
Style: Imperial Oatmeal Stout
Producer: Brauhaus Gusswerk
Alcohol content: 9.2%
Bottle size: .33 l
Purchased from: EDEKA in Kleve, Germany
Die Schwarze Kuh by Brauhaus Gusswerk. 9.2% ABV Imperial Stout. Lots of dark roast and anise / black liquorice flavor in this one. I like it quite a lot! Black Gold for Beer Lovers. At least that’s the beer’s motto. Biologic beer.
