This post is a part of the 2015 New Beer Every Day Beer Diary Challenge, #ottbeerdiary. Over the course of 2015, I will be trying a new beer every day. Please read the background in the link above, and enjoy reading about the most recently tasted beers below. If you’d like to join the challenge as well, let me know in the comments below, and be sure to check out Grown-up Travel Guide and his #grownupbeerdiary, where Andy Higgs came up with the diary format in use below. Day 146: May 26, 2015
Diary entry:
The log weekend is over, and back to work I go!
And off to a great start, I show up early at my secondary location for a workshop, but it’s not until tomorrow, and then it’s at the main site!
Oops!
At least I know for tomorrow.
Today turned out to be pretty quiet, I think a lot of people took advantage of the long weekend for a few extra days off before the long few weeks before their summer holidays.
Ah, the joys of working in Europe…
The Beer:
Name: Edel Pils
Style: Pilsner
Producer: Alfa Bierbrouwerij B.V.
Alcohol content: 5.0%
Bottle size: 0.30l
Purchased from: Albert Heijn supermarket in Boxtel
This Pilsner is from Alfa Brouwerij in Limburg, the southeastern part of the Netherlands. Not too far from where I live in Boxtel. This Edel Pils is definitely not bad for a local Pilsner.
Commercial Description:
This pure and natural pilsner has an alcohol percentage of 5% by volume. Alfa Edel Pils is prepared from barley malts, natural hops, and spring water. It’s a beer with a character all its own: generous in taste with a subtle bouquet. Each bottle of Alfa Edel Pils has a unique number printed on its neck label. The ideal drinking temperature is 7/8°C.
