This post is a part of the 2015 New Beer Every Day Beer Diary Challenge, #ottbeerdiary. Over the course of 2015, I will be trying a new beer every day. Please read the background in the link above, and enjoy reading about the most recently tasted beers below. If you’d like to join the challenge as well, let me know in the comments below, and be sure to check out Grown-up Travel Guide and his #grownupbeerdiary, where Andy Higgs came up with the diary format in use below. You can catch up on all of our posts as part of the challenge under the tag ottbeerdiary.
Day 57: February 26, 2015
Diary entry:
Jet lag struck me hard this trip, and I was up at 4:30 in the morning, working at my desk in the hotel room. I just could not fall back asleep. Usually I’m hit like this on the second day, not the first.
I did manage to get quite a lot done on my presentation for the office in Arizona later that morning, and had a good conference call in the hotel before heading into work.
Visiting our new office in Arizona is always a bit interesting, as it’s such a contrast from most of our other main offices where there are also factories on the premises. This office is so quiet in comparison. But I did have a great chance to catch up with old colleagues and new, and give and clean-up my presentation for the next two stops on the agenda.
And then, back to the airport, where I managed to arrive in time to catch an earlier flight, and even still snag an upgrade still!
The Beer:
Name: Enjoy By 3.14.15 IPA
Style: Imperial/Double IPA
Producer: Stone Brewing Co.
Alcohol content: 9.4%
Bottle size: 16oz. Draft
Purchased from: Kelly’s Pub, San Diego
Tonight’s beer of the night is the Stone Enjoy By 3.14.15. Love the fresh IPA series Stone makes, and miss being able try these monthly brews while back in the Netherlands. Always very solid offerings. Happy to find this close by my hotel tonight.
