This post is a part of the 2015 New Beer Every Day Beer Diary Challenge, #ottbeerdiary. Over the course of 2015, I will be trying a new beer every day. Please read the background in the link above, and enjoy reading about the most recently tasted beers below. If you’d like to join the challenge as well, let me know in the comments below, and be sure to check out Grown-up Travel Guide and his #grownupbeerdiary, where Andy Higgs came up with the diary format in use below. You can catch up on all of our posts as part of the challenge under the tag ottbeerdiary.
Day 139: May 19, 2015
Diary entry:
And like that, the daily work routine is back in full force.
A schedule full of workshops and meetings. Discussions on the design of the ongoing project. Lots of tight deadlines to meet before the end of June. Let’s get this done!
Hit the grocery store on the way home to stock up on dinner ingredients for the coming week.
Not much else going on.
The Beer:
Name: Estrella Galicia
Style: Pale Lager
Producer: Hijos de Rivera
Alcohol content: 5.5%
Bottle size: 0.33l
Purchased from: A gas station on the highway in Galicia in northern Spain, on the drive between Porto and San Sebastian.
A very good lager, one of the better large-brewer lagers I’ve had. Very happy with this one. Would be happy with this as an everyday drinker.
And it matches our kitchen!
Commercial Description (translated from the label):
The perfection obtained in the preparation of this beer is the fruit of experience transmitted through the years and constantly improved by four generations of the Rivera family.
