20-Mar-2015 : Tonight's beer is Galbert Van Brugge by 't Brugs Bierinstituut. A Flemish red-brown ale produced at De Proefbrouwerij. Aged eight months in French oak barrels. You definitely get the barrel notes in the flavor. Not very sour, but very enjoyable. Named after an important historical figure of Brugge, as one of the first journalists to appear, as he covered the events surrounding the murder of Charles the Good in 1127. #ottbeerdiary

This post is a part of the 2015 New Beer Every Day Beer Diary Challenge, #ottbeerdiary.  Over the course of 2015, I will be trying a new beer every day. Please read the background in the link above, and enjoy reading about the most recently tasted beers below. If you’d like to join the challenge as well, let me know in the comments below, and be sure to check out Grown-up Travel Guide and his #grownupbeerdiary, where Andy Higgs came up with the diary format in use below. You can catch up on all of our posts as part of the challenge under the tag ottbeerdiary.

Day 79: March 20, 2015

Diary entry:

Full schedule today. Only two meetings, but each of them over four hours long. In the end, I didn’t wind up leaving the office until almost 8PM! There went my thoughts of going to the gym tonight…

But feels good to know my inbox is caught up as I enter the weekend…
