This post is a part of the 2015 New Beer Every Day Beer Diary Challenge, #ottbeerdiary. Over the course of 2015, I will be trying a new beer every day. Please read the background in the link above, and enjoy reading about the most recently tasted beers below. If you’d like to join the challenge as well, let me know in the comments below, and be sure to check out Grown-up Travel Guide and his #grownupbeerdiary, where Andy Higgs came up with the diary format in use below. Day 327: November 23, 2015
Diary entry:
Back to work again. Another wonderful Monday!
Got a decent early start, managing to catch up on some document reviews that I had been slacking on with my travels and last week’s workshops. And then this week’s continuation of the workshops began.
We’re still making good progress int he workshops. Tomorrow is the last one for a few days. Will be good to get back to my normal activities after these are complete.
I managed to get back to the gym again today after a bit of an absence. I’ll probably be sore tomorrow, but I definitely need to get back into this routine. I’m sure I’ll feel better once I do.
The Beer:
Name: Gooseberry Sour
Style: Sour Ale
Producer: Mammoth Brewing Company
Alcohol content: 7.0%
Bottle size: 0.5 l
Purchased from: Mammoth Brewing Company
Gooseberry Sour by Mammoth Brewing Company. Part of the 2015 Harvest Series. Fruity aroma. Flavor starts sour, then you get the fruit as well. Really quite enjoyable and drinkable.
Commercial Description (Bottle Label):
Gooseberry was soured in old oak barrels with Brettanomyces. Gooseberries and currants were then blended in after the aging process, just before bottling.
