This post is a part of the 2015 New Beer Every Day Beer Diary Challenge, #ottbeerdiary. Over the course of 2015, I will be trying a new beer every day. Please read the background in the link above, and enjoy reading about the most recently tasted beers below. If you’d like to join the challenge as well, let me know in the comments below, and be sure to check out Grown-up Travel Guide and his #grownupbeerdiary, where Andy Higgs came up with the diary format in use below. Day 161: June 10, 2015
Diary entry:
An extremely full day at work, with constant bookings from 9 ’til 5.
Not even enough of a schedule gap to grab a proper lunch! Luckily, my meeting from 11:30-1 we just stole a table in the cafeteria, and I grabbed a quick sandwich to bring with me to my 1 PM meeting.
It’s day like these that keep me going, though! As long as the meetings and workshops are productive.
The Beer:
Name: Gouverneur Tripel
Style: Belgian Tripel
Producer: Lindeboom
Alcohol content: 8.2%
Bottle size: 0.33l
Purchased from: Albert Heijn supermarket in Boxtel, Netherlands.
Not bad at all for a supermarket Tripel. Good fruity favor with some bitterness.
Commercial Description:
Governor Tripel is a golden, slightly sweet specialty with delicate aromas and a hopflower taste. This fermented beer is brewed with crystal clear water from private sources and natural ingredients. The secondary fermentation in the bottle makes the beer a tad cloudy and enriches the flavor aroma.
Recommended drinking temperature: 6-8 ° C
Advice: pour the bottle half empty, turn the bottle and pour it further.
