This post is a part of the 2015 New Beer Every Day Beer Diary Challenge, #ottbeerdiary. Over the course of 2015, I will be trying a new beer every day. Please read the background in the link above, and enjoy reading about the most recently tasted beers below. If you’d like to join the challenge as well, let me know in the comments below, and be sure to check out Grown-up Travel Guide and his #grownupbeerdiary, where Andy Higgs came up with the diary format in use below. Day 299: October 26, 2015
Diary entry:
Got a very early start this morning, heading into the office a bit earlier than usual to start finalizing on the document reviews I wanted to finish before my trip, and to prepare for the meeting to decide for sure if I would be going at all or not.
Luckily, I was able to justify to everyone the value of the trip, and it’s a go! This is good news for the project, and definitely helps keep the motivation there for everyone.
Had to squeeze in visits to the car dealer to have the tires on my Prius replaced. Turns out that not only did the one tire that went flat have to be replaced, but the other front tire also had a bit of a gouge in it and also had to be replaced for safety reasons. I’m glad I had this done today, before heading to Amsterdam and the airport tomorrow!
I managed to have a number of good meetings while I was at work today, and definitely feel like things are in a good spot with all of my projects. These next weeks are going to be good!
The Beer:
Name: India Pale Ale
Style: American IPA
Producer: Boundary Brewing
Alcohol content: 7.0%
Bottle size: 0.33 l
Purchased from: Brought to me from Belfast by Steve of Beers I’ve Known
The India Pale Ale by Boundary Brewing is the second of the three beers fro, Boundary Brewing that were brought to me while I was in Brussels for the European Beer Bloggers & Writers Conference in August. Steve from Beers I’ve Known is a fellow owner in the Boundary Brewing Coop and was gracious enough to bring me a bottle of each of their three beers, since they are not available yet here in the Netherlands. I tried their Pale Ale back in September.and still have the Export Stout to go.
The India Pale Ale by Boundary Brewing is an excellent IPA! And I’m not just saying that because I own one share of the brewery. The IPA has a citrusy, hoppy bitterness, very crisp and refreshing. The beer was smooth and extremely drinkable.
