This post is a part of the 2015 New Beer Every Day Beer Diary Challenge, #ottbeerdiary. Over the course of 2015, I will be trying a new beer every day. Please read the background in the link above, and enjoy reading about the most recently tasted beers below. If you’d like to join the challenge as well, let me know in the comments below, and be sure to check out Grown-up Travel Guide and his #grownupbeerdiary, where Andy Higgs came up with the diary format in use below. You can catch up on all of our posts as part of the challenge under the tag ottbeerdiary.
Day 38: February 7, 2015
Diary entry:
I need to start doing more with my Saturdays again. Today was spent catching up on some writing, and generally relaxing.
Tomorrow I think I’ll be heading to the beer festival going on in Brugge, we’ll see how I feel…
If not, I’ll definitely need to go travel somewhere, at least for the day.
The Beer:
Name: Kameleon Tripel
Style: Belgian Tripel
Producer: Brouwerij Den Hopperd
Alcohol content: 8.5%
Bottle size: 0.33l
Purchased from: De Hopduvel in Ghent.
Kameleon Tripel is a biological beer from Brouwerij Den Hopperd. This beer has a lot of green notes to its flavor. A very vegetative flavor, almost reminiscent of cut grass. Perhaps a little bit of mint as well. Not at all what I expected. And not my personal preference in a beer.
