This post is a part of the 2015 New Beer Every Day Beer Diary Challenge, #ottbeerdiary. Over the course of 2015, I will be trying a new beer every day. Please read the background in the link above, and enjoy reading about the most recently tasted beers below. If you’d like to join the challenge as well, let me know in the comments below, and be sure to check out Grown-up Travel Guide and his #grownupbeerdiary, where Andy Higgs came up with the diary format in use below. You can catch up on all of our posts as part of the challenge under the tag ottbeerdiary.
From December 1 through December 24, I’m going to try to use a Christmas Beer for each day of Advent as part of my #ottadvent15 2015 Advent Calendar. Follow along with the tag ottadvent15.
Day 341: December 7, 2015
Diary entry:
Monday of what is shaping up to be a short week. Hitting some Christmas Markets this weekend for my birthday, but first a few days of work.
First had to drop off my lease car for some repair work, which hopefully will be done and back by Wednesday. Hope so since we hit the road on Thursday.
Spent the entire morning in a final workshop on the new model we’ve been working on, preparing for an important presentation on it tomorrow. Some new topics had to be worked out that came up in some of the details. But all is working itself out.
Finished the last of my document reviews for Thursday’s meeting, and started on some work for the next projects.
All-in-all, a productive day.
The Beer:
Name: Kerstbie
Style: Belgian Strong Dark Ale
Producer: Brouwerij de Bie
Alcohol content: 8.0%
Bottle size: 0.33 l
Purchased from: Bierhandel Willems & Zoon in Grobbendonk, Belgium
Kerstbie by Brouwerij de Bie. Lots of carbonation. Slight sweetness. Very light bitterness. Decent. Not great. But ok.
