Day 49: February 18, 2015
Diary entry:
Back to the grind at work. Meetings most of the day, back and forth between the buildings. Some good discussions. Some good feedback as well.
Also got some exciting news about a beer event that will be coinciding with TBEX in Costa Brava this year. Should be a great time! Will say more once it’s officially announced.
Getting ready now for tonight’s #TRAVEX and #FoodTravelChat Twitter chats.
The Beer:
Name: La Binchoise Spéciale Noël
Style: Belgian Strong Pale Ale
Producer: Brasserie La Binchoise
Alcohol content: 9.0%
Bottle size: 0.33l
Purchased from: De Hopduvel in Ghent
Tonight’s beer was La Binchoise Spéciale Noël by Brasserie La Binchoise. Poured with a beautiful amber color and a nice white head. A bit of bitterness on the aroma, however, I have to admit, I didn’t get a lot of flavor from this bottle, a little disappointing.
Commercial Description: Speciale Noel could only be a Christmas beer. It is a classic, warming winter ale with plenty of depth and a roasted, fruity malt character.
