This post is a part of the 2015 New Beer Every Day Beer Diary Challenge, #ottbeerdiary. Over the course of 2015, I will be trying a new beer every day. Please read the background in the link above, and enjoy reading about the most recently tasted beers below. If you’d like to join the challenge as well, let me know in the comments below, and be sure to check out Grown-up Travel Guide and his #grownupbeerdiary, where Andy Higgs came up with the diary format in use below. Day 281: October 8, 2015
Diary entry:
A pretty full day of meetings, but got quite a bit done, especially with regards to my normal, non-project work. Aligned on quite a number of topics relating to the current budgeting cycle, so we’re well prepared for the review coming up in a few weeks. Nice to have this off the to-do list already.
Another comfort food night on the home front, trying out the locally imported Mac ‘n Cheese we can find in the local grocery. Not too shabby! Always good to have new options to turn to for those nights when you just want something simple.
The Beer:
Name: La Rouge Croix
Style: Belgian Brown Ale
Producer: Brasserie de la Lesse
Alcohol content: 7.5%
Bottle size: 33 cl
Purchased from: La Gourmandise in Rochefort, Belgium
La Rouge Croix by Brasserie de la Lesse of Eprave, near Rochefort, Belgium. A bit sweet, but well offset with a decent bitterness. But still – too sweet for my personal preference. 7.5% ABV.
