This post is a part of the 2015 New Beer Every Day Beer Diary Challenge, #ottbeerdiary. Over the course of 2015, I will be trying a new beer every day. Please read the background in the link above, and enjoy reading about the most recently tasted beers below. If you’d like to join the challenge as well, let me know in the comments below, and be sure to check out Grown-up Travel Guide and his #grownupbeerdiary, where Andy Higgs came up with the diary format in use below. Day 35: February 4, 2015
Diary entry:
And if I thought yesterday flew by, today was a flash!
Things are moving forward. A good session for the morning, two decent sessions in the afternoon. Even had time for a quick lunch today!
Fun to leave in the middle of a sudden storm of freezing rain, with a nice 30-minute traffic delay on the way home.
Tonight we have #TRAVEX and #FoodTravelChat on Twitter, so be sure to join in!
The Beer:
Name: La Spéciale Fêtes
Style: Winter Ale
Producer: Brasserie de Bouillon
Alcohol content: 8.5%
Bottle size: 0.33l
Purchased from: De Hopduvel in Ghent.
La Speciale Fetes is a winter ale by Brasserie de Bouillon. A very carbonated beer. Almost gushed from the bottle but I poured in time. Very little flavor at first due to the excessive carbonation, but after sitting in the glass a while, the fruity and spice flavors emerge.
