This post is a part of the 2015 New Beer Every Day Beer Diary Challenge, #ottbeerdiary. Over the course of 2015, I will be trying a new beer every day. Please read the background in the link above, and enjoy reading about the most recently tasted beers below. If you’d like to join the challenge as well, let me know in the comments below, and be sure to check out Grown-up Travel Guide and his #grownupbeerdiary, where Andy Higgs came up with the diary format in use below. You can catch up on all of our posts as part of the challenge under the tag ottbeerdiary.
Day 260: September 17, 2015
Diary entry:
An interesting start to the day. I was supposed to have a full agenda from 8:00 until 1:00, but my 8-9 and 9-11 both were cancelled. Unfortunately, both cancellations came after I was in the office already, so no chance to sleep in. But that was fine, as it gave me a chance to catch up on some of the document reviews I need to complete.
I still had to present in our reference board from 12-1, which prevented me from a lunch break before heading out of the office for a 2:00 Finance department team event.
This should have been a fun event of outdoor activities. And yes, it was fun, but with pouring rain, which was a bit of a damper.
(OK, sorry for that!)
Some fun activities, like crossbows and regular archery with lightweight bow cases. And my first time playing korfball, a local version of backboard-less basketball. Which was fun, except for the extremely slippery grass. People were sliding around all over, and I took a particularly nasty slip when going for the ball and both feet went out from under me and I took a full fall on my back, luckily keeping my head from slamming into the turf as well.
Dangerous!
At least this was followed up with a decent barbecue and a relatively decent time to return home.

Laarbeeks Blond by Brouwerij Laarbeek, from just outside of Helmond in the Netherlands. Nice fruity aroma and flavor. Very smooth drinking. Always nice to try the beers from these very small, local breweries.

By using natural and local ingredients, the beer has a real Brabant character. Laarbeeks Blonde yeast in the bottle and tastiest when drunk in the matching glass. A unique taste experience for epicureans
