Day 75: March 16, 2015
Diary entry:
Another Monday, another work week begins. Today was relatively quiet, had a chance to catch up on some emails and normal tasks outside of the project. Tomorrow the agenda is full-up again.
At least the weather is continuing to be nicer, temps entering the 50’s. Will be time ti start up the lunchtime walks again soon. That’s always a good sign.
A very chill evening, need to get some sleep.
The Beer:
Name: Lienne
Style: Belgian Pale Ale
Producer: Brasserie de la Lienne
Alcohol content: 7.0%
Bottle size: 0.33l
Purchased from: Durbuy, Belgium
A surprisingly nice Belgian Pale Ale from the Ardennes region of Belgium. I think I expected this beer to be much sweeter and not as bitter as it turned out to be, so a pleasant surprise!
Commercial Description:
First born of the brewery, this blonde with copper highlights has 7% alcohol. High fermentation beer and fermented in the bottle, it is brewed in the tradition from two types of very lightly roasted malts. Three varieties of hops up the recipe bringing both that characteristic bitterness, but also much more subtle aromatic notes, especially citrus.
Brewed in the heart of the Ardennes, with exceptionally pure water, this authentic Belgian beer combines the rigor of the Ardennes climate with the softness of citrus hints.
