This post is a part of the 2015 New Beer Every Day Beer Diary Challenge, #ottbeerdiary. Over the course of 2015, I will be trying a new beer every day. Please read the background in the link above, and enjoy reading about the most recently tasted beers below. If you’d like to join the challenge as well, let me know in the comments below, and be sure to check out Grown-up Travel Guide and his #grownupbeerdiary, where Andy Higgs came up with the diary format in use below. You can catch up on all of our posts as part of the challenge under the tag ottbeerdiary.
Day 121: May 1, 2015
Diary entry:
Today was the first official day of the conference. As we’re speaking on Day 2, we spent a bit of the morning finalizing and running through our presentation. The nerves are definitely building.
After a few sessions and some more work time, we enjoyed the rooftop Sangria cocktail party hosted by Eurail, and then a nice dinner in town at Restaurant Ca l’Amic.
The Beer:
Name: Maier Especial Aniversario
Style: India Pale Ale
Producer: Cerveza Maier
Alcohol content: 8.0%
Bottle size: 0.33l
Purchased from: Centro Commercial in Andorra
This was another product of Cadiz in Andalucia that we picked up from the duty free in Andorra. This beer was brewed for the first anniversary of the brewery in Cadiz.
The Maier Esprial Aniversario is an IPA, but more fruity than bitter. Reminds me more of a blonde ale, without a lot of bitterness. Pretty decent for a blonde, but not my taste for an IPA.
