This post is a part of the 2015 New Beer Every Day Beer Diary Challenge, #ottbeerdiary. Over the course of 2015, I will be trying a new beer every day. Please read the background in the link above, and enjoy reading about the most recently tasted beers below. If you’d like to join the challenge as well, let me know in the comments below, and be sure to check out Grown-up Travel Guide and his #grownupbeerdiary, where Andy Higgs came up with the diary format in use below. You can catch up on all of our posts as part of the challenge under the tag ottbeerdiary.
Day 294: October 21, 2015
Diary entry:
Things are really steamrolling ahead here at work, as some very important project deadlines are looming. We have some major decisions coming in the next few days, including one today that my travel plans for October / November are fully dependent on. Of course, the travel is secondary, priority one is making sure the project is on track, but assuming it is deemed on track still, this trip is necessary, I need to be on a plane in a week, and still don’t have a ticket booked. Yikes!
After a day full of meetings to plug in whatever holes could still be plugged in, the word came down at the end of the day that we’re still a go, so now I just need to wait for a signed travel authorization. Hopefully tomorrow.
The Beer:
Name: Marie Blanche
Style: Witbier
Producer: Brasserie de la Lesse
Alcohol content: 5.0%
Bottle size: 0.33 l
Purchased from: Small local products shop in Durbuy, Belgium
Marie Blanche by Brasserie de la Lesse. Big but fast-burning head. Tiny bitterness. But not a ton of flavor.
