This post is a part of the 2015 New Beer Every Day Beer Diary Challenge, #ottbeerdiary. Over the course of 2015, I will be trying a new beer every day. Please read the background in the link above, and enjoy reading about the most recently tasted beers below. If you’d like to join the challenge as well, let me know in the comments below, and be sure to check out Grown-up Travel Guide and his #grownupbeerdiary, where Andy Higgs came up with the diary format in use below. Day 296: October 23, 2015
Diary entry:
Ok, I spoke too soon.
After a good day at work, finalizing some topics on the other projects and preparing what I need to bring with me on the trip, I get home and get a call that there’s still questions on the upcoming trip. So what should have been a relaxed weekend is now full of stressful uncertainty still. Ah well, c’est la vie.
At least I know that everything is in order, and all I need to do is convince some people that it really is necessary, and not just a boondoggle or something better suited to be done here in the HQ. All logic is on my side, so just have to hope common sense prevails.
The Beer:
Name: Mooi & Meedogenloos
Style: Belgian Quad
Producer: Brouwerij De Molen
Alcohol content: 10.2%
Bottle size: 0.33 l
Purchased from: De Hopduvel in Ghent, Belgium
Mooi & Meedogenloos by Brouwerij De Molen. Some chocolate aroma. Fairly strong alcohol bite. A little fruity. Decent. But not knocking my socks off.
Commercial Description (Untappd):
Mooi & Meedogenloos combines both Belgian style Quadruple and Imperial Stout. Sweet and spicy like the first but roasted and full bodied like the second. Flavor indication: chocolate, plums, brown sugar. Translates as Beautiful & Ruthless.
