This post is a part of the 2015 New Beer Every Day Beer Diary Challenge, #ottbeerdiary. Over the course of 2015, I will be trying a new beer every day. Please read the background in the link above, and enjoy reading about the most recently tasted beers below. If you’d like to join the challenge as well, let me know in the comments below, and be sure to check out Grown-up Travel Guide and his #grownupbeerdiary, where Andy Higgs came up with the diary format in use below. You can catch up on all of our posts as part of the challenge under the tag ottbeerdiary.
Day 259: September 16, 2015
Diary entry:
Today is Wednesday, but not my normal Wednesday. Had a very early start, since I knew I had a lot on the agenda for today. First meeting, however, a real blast from the past, as I was asked to give some information on a database I built back in 2008 which is still in use. Never expected THAT to come up at this juncture!
Many more meetings throughout the day, with all three projects well represented. Unfortunately, I also got roped into preparing some additional workshops.
In the end, all in the right direction. However, over the course of the day, I was also asked about taking a lead role o two other critical processes as well. Not sure how much more I can take on my plate.
The Beer:
Name: Moose Blues
Style: Belgian Strong Dark Ale
Producer: Brouwers Verzet
Alcohol content: 7.5%
Bottle size: 0.33l
Purchased from: De Caigny in Essen, Belgium
Moose Blues by Brouwers Verzet. Smells sweet and a bit alcoholic. But not the taste. Taste is darker and more bitter. More in line its 7.5%. High carbonation in the mouthfeel, which may block some of the sweet in flavor of the richer flavors.
