This post is a part of the 2015 New Beer Every Day Beer Diary Challenge, #ottbeerdiary. Over the course of 2015, I will be trying a new beer every day. Please read the background in the link above, and enjoy reading about the most recently tasted beers below. If you’d like to join the challenge as well, let me know in the comments below, and be sure to check out Grown-up Travel Guide and his #grownupbeerdiary, where Andy Higgs came up with the diary format in use below. Day 231: August 19, 2015
Diary entry:
Another fun Wednesday. The morning project three session went well once again. And had a very good session with my supervisor on my progress so far this year, so that was good too. Let’s just see if this turns into any good news later…when it really matters.
Got home from work a bit late tonight, and had to do an emergency edit of an article for Erin. And of course, the internet at home wasn’t working at all! Not even when I tried to tether via my phone! I actually had to run to a nearby cafe and steal their wifi to do the edit! That was fun…but at least it gave me an excuse to see a little of the last night of the Kermis.
The Beer:
Name: Neuzebier Tripel Bruin
Style: Belgian Brown Ale
Producer: Brouwerij Anders!
Alcohol content: 6.9%
Bottle size: 0.33l
Purchased from: De Caigny in Essen, Belgium
Neuzebier Tripel Bruin by Brouwerij Anders! Much more bitter and less sweet than I expected from a brown tripel. Added sugar listed as an ingredient, but the sweetness is tempered.
