I have to agree, but I also found drinks in Singapore in general to be quite high due to taxes and such.  Definitely the first trip to Raffles knocked me over a bit….outside of high end wine, probably the most I’ve paid for a drink. 🙂  That being said, I have found that Singapore Slings elsewhere tend to be pretty cheap imitations…I guess it’s one of those “gotta do once” tourist type things…or in Brett’s case, like 3 or 4 times. Ow and their drink prices are nuts! It’s one of the biggest tourist gotchas I’ve ever seen. With all that being said, you do have to drink one and throw peanuts on the floors. I grabbed a few coasters as souvenirs, lest they charge me for the glass!
