Cloudy Bay is such a good wine.. Had many a bottle while living in New Zealand!

In reply to Anita Mac. Unfortunately, New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc is actually harder to find here in the Netherlands now. But plenty of nice alternatives for Bordeaux, the Loire, and other varietals from the Alsace/Mosel/Rhine regions to soften the blow :-) Spicy foods can still be tamed...

I had no idea that New Zealand had 10 wine regions, but I do know that the Marlborough Sauvignon blancs are my favourite! Have been for years. And I must say – you are lucky that your Costco supplies it – it is one of my favourite whites!

Did you make it to the wine trail around Blenheim? I can really recommend it – especially Cloudy Bay, Lawson Dry and Wither Hills. You should also plan in a stop at Makana Confections just along the Marlborough wine trail for some hand-made chocolate to go with the wine 🙂
