This post is a part of the 2015 New Beer Every Day Beer Diary Challenge, #ottbeerdiary. Over the course of 2015, I will be trying a new beer every day. Please read the background in the link above, and enjoy reading about the most recently tasted beers below. If you’d like to join the challenge as well, let me know in the comments below, and be sure to check out Grown-up Travel Guide and his #grownupbeerdiary, where Andy Higgs came up with the diary format in use below. Day 105: April 15, 2015
Diary entry:
Happy Tax Day, everyone!
I celebrated by not paying my taxes. Well, at least an extension was filed already 🙂 The joys of Expat life!
Quite a busy day today of meetings with colleagues from Hong Kong. Always important discussions, following up from my visit there in November. Hoping the next follow-up is back on their turf again!
Late return home, and then, of course, time to prepare for the weekly Twitter chats, #TRAVEX (5PM ET) and #FoodTravelChat (8PM ET), which I invite you all to come try out!
The Beer:
Name: Pale Ale
Style: American Pale Ale
Producer: BrauKunstKeller
Alcohol content: 5.1%
Bottle size: 0.33l
Purchased from: EDEKA in Kleve, Germany
Pale Ale by BrauKunstKeller. I must admit, I’m pleasantly surprised with how good this beer is! Bitter citrus flavors, but very easy drinking. I definitely wasn’t expecting this.
Commercial Description:
A beautiful balanced pale ale. Our special hops blend of Citra, Cascade, and Amarillo provides a fruity citrus and crisp body and bouquet. A hoppy but clean finish leaves you wanting for more.
