This post is a part of the 2015 New Beer Every Day Beer Diary Challenge, #ottbeerdiary. Over the course of 2015, I will be trying a new beer every day. Please read the background in the link above, and enjoy reading about the most recently tasted beers below. If you’d like to join the challenge as well, let me know in the comments below, and be sure to check out Grown-up Travel Guide and his #grownupbeerdiary, where Andy Higgs came up with the diary format in use below. Day 261: September 18, 2015
Diary entry:
And so, another week comes to an end.
An early morning with meetings starting at 8AM and some prep in advance. Most of the late morning and afternoon was then spent training some colleagues on a database I created almost 10 years ago that I was not even aware was still in use! Luckily it was like riding a bicycle remembering how it was set up and handing it over.
Wound up leaving a little after 5:00, and a quiet evening at home before heading down to Brussels again tomorrow.
The Beer:
Name: Pannepot – Old Fisherman’s Ale (2014)
Style: Belgian Strong Dark Ale
Producer: De Struise Brouwers
Alcohol content: 10.0%
Bottle size: 0.33l
Purchased from: De Hopduvel in Ghent, Belgium
Pannepot – Old Fisherman’s Ale (2014) by De Struise Brouwers. Sometimes I forget just how good this beer is! Been a few vintages since I had the basic Pannepot. Black liquorice, caramel and dark fruit indeed. Glad I have another of these still, too 🙂
