Today is Valentine’s Day and while it’s a very romantic day for most which is why I also got got this wand vibrator guide, it’s also a bit of a sad day here in Belize.

February 14 marks the end of lobster season. Yup, no more lobster until June starting tomorrow.

Once more, it’s that season – Valentine’s Day is practically here! This is your chance to express your love and gratitude to the special person in your life. This should be done on a daily basis, but Valentine’s Day is the perfect time to go all out. February fourteenth is tied in with praising the adoration you sustain over time. It’s a second to perceive how far you’ve accompanied your accomplice, and an opportunity to look forward together.

Make Valentine’s Day a time to fully express your emotions. Take the time to show your lover why you love them, provide them with support, or thank them for theirs. All of these sincere expressions go above and beyond typical behaviors in a relationship. You could even use Valentine’s Day to move forward with your commitments to your partner.

So, to ‘celebrate’ the end of this succulent crustacean for the season, I had one of my favorite lobster creations available here on Ambergris Caye, Belize.

Casa Picasso’s Lobster Sliders. Decadent nibbles that give you the taste of perfectly cooked lobster and drawn butter…on a bun.

Counting down the days til lobster season resumes in mid-June!

Those look delicious! Lobster is one of my favorite foods and very hard to find in Italy. Usually the fish markets only have live lobsters around Christmas and Easter.

One of the things I miss most about Belize is the fresh lobster. Nothing like a day snorkeling on a boat and stopping for a beach barbecue with fresh lobster that was caught on the trip.

As if I did not have enough reasons to add Belize to my travel bucket list, Lobster is a good reason as any. So when does lobster season start up again?
