People always ask me what I miss most about living back in the United States — specifically about life in California. When I think back to my life just prior to moving to Asia, living close to the Napa Valley was certainly one of the highlights. I had always dreamed of living in Napa’s wine country; however, landing 40 minutes east was nothing to complain about — certainly much more affordable! I miss being able to just spend the day in Napa, especially at harvest time. As fall arrives, the leaves begin to change color and the hills are dotted with various shades of purple and green as grape clusters are ready to be picked. Despite the obvious increase in visitors attending various parties and winery events, harvest is still one of my favorite times to visit the Napa Valley.
