This post is a part of the 2015 New Beer Every Day Beer Diary Challenge, #ottbeerdiary. Over the course of 2015, I will be trying a new beer every day. Please read the background in the link above, and enjoy reading about the most recently tasted beers below. If you’d like to join the challenge as well, let me know in the comments below, and be sure to check out Grown-up Travel Guide and his #grownupbeerdiary, where Andy Higgs came up with the diary format in use below. Day 71: March 12, 2015
Diary entry:
Oh these Thursdays. Never enough sleep after the late-night #FoodTravelChat on Twitter. But somehow I make it through the day. Things are approaching crunch time for the current phase of my project, so lots of meetings to come to some conclusions for the next steps. Surprisingly good results today, so that’s good.
Last meeting ended early, and I had to walk between buildings, on a beautiful day here in the Netherlands, so decided to pop home a little earlier than normal…still an eight hour day, but a good break nonetheless.
I have a big presentation all day tomorrow, so will be good to get a good night’s rest.
The Beer:
Name: Rebelle Winterbier
Style: Belgian Strong Dark Ale
Producer: Brouwerij ‘t Kroontje
Alcohol content: 10.5%
Bottle size: 0.33l
Purchased from: De Hopduvel in Ghent
Tonight’s beer of the night. Rebelle Winterbier by Brouwerij ‘t Kroontje of Denderbelle, Belgium. Other than a lot of alcohol taste, this is a very tasty beer. Dark chocolate. Spices. Dark fruits. But yeah, the 10.5% ABV is very evident.
