This post is a part of the 2015 New Beer Every Day Beer Diary Challenge, #ottbeerdiary. Over the course of 2015, I will be trying a new beer every day. Please read the background in the link above, and enjoy reading about the most recently tasted beers below. If you’d like to join the challenge as well, let me know in the comments below, and be sure to check out Grown-up Travel Guide and his #grownupbeerdiary, where Andy Higgs came up with the diary format in use below. You can catch up on all of our posts as part of the challenge under the tag ottbeerdiary.
Day 215: August 3, 2015
Diary entry:
Now it is officially holiday season here in the office. Other than my own department which today is doing the period end close, it’s pretty much a ghost town. Parking, impossible to find in the winter months, is available right near the doors, even with later arrivals. Travel between the buildings no issue either.
However, still quite a few meetings in the agenda.
Last meeting ended today at 4PM though. Was about to head back to my desk, when asked why. I had to think…and couldn’t think of an answer, so decided to enjoy the weather a little instead.
The Beer:
Name: Saint-Monon Brune
Style: Belgian Strong Dark Ale
Producer: Brasserie Saint-Monon
Alcohol content: 7.5%
Bottle size: 0.75l
Purchased from: A small local products shop in Dubuy, Belgium
Saint-Monon Brune by Brasserie Saint-Monon. Sweet. Caramel and Malts. Even a little chocolate. Some bitterness, and an attempt for more.
