This post is a part of the 2015 New Beer Every Day Beer Diary Challenge, #ottbeerdiary. Over the course of 2015, I will be trying a new beer every day. Please read the background in the link above, and enjoy reading about the most recently tasted beers below. If you’d like to join the challenge as well, let me know in the comments below, and be sure to check out Grown-up Travel Guide and his #grownupbeerdiary, where Andy Higgs came up with the diary format in use below. You can catch up on all of our posts as part of the challenge under the tag ottbeerdiary.
Day 30: January 30, 2015
Diary entry:
Finally, the end of the week. Only two meetings today being Friday. Unfortunately, one was from 9-1, and the other from 1-5. Ah well…almost got some real work done. Actually, can’t complain, both of these meetings wound up being pretty productive workshops, so at least the week ended on a positive note in that regard.
Actually left at five today, and made it to the gym. Who knows, maybe this challenge won’t kill me in the end 🙂
The Beer:
Name: Saxo
Style: Belgian Strong Pale Ale
Producer: Brasserie Caracole
Alcohol content: 7.5%
Bottle size: 0,33l
Purchased from: De Hopduvel in Ghent.
Golden color, with nice carbonation and a clean, white head. Fruity sweetness, coupled with a nice bitterness make this a very enjoyable Belgian Pale Ale.
