This post is a part of the 2015 New Beer Every Day Beer Diary Challenge, #ottbeerdiary. Over the course of 2015, I will be trying a new beer every day. Please read the background in the link above, and enjoy reading about the most recently tasted beers below. If you’d like to join the challenge as well, let me know in the comments below, and be sure to check out Grown-up Travel Guide and his #grownupbeerdiary, where Andy Higgs came up with the diary format in use below. You can catch up on all of our posts as part of the challenge under the tag ottbeerdiary.
Day 28: January 28, 2015
Diary entry:
Well, at least I made it to the gym again today.
Actually, some good, informative workshops today. One in the morning, and another at the end of the day. So I gotta say, this was a good day. May have even moved things forwards a little!
Had to give up my Lenovo laptop that I’ve had since Taiwan today. Gonna miss it. Tomorrow I get my new HP Laptop. Yay!
The Beer:
Name: St. Idesbald Tripel
Style: Abbey Tripel
Producer: Brouwerij Huyghe under license from Ten Duinen
Alcohol content: 9.0%
Bottle size: 0.33l
Purchased from: De Hopduvel in Ghent.
Commercial Description:
Bottle conditioned. Rich golden colour, fruity aroma and a soft, sweet maltiness. Lively mouthfeel with a finish reminiscent of brut champagne.
St. Idesbald Tripel is a very good Tripel! Not too sweet. Easily drinkable. 9% not evident whatsoever. I could go for another of these.
