This post is a part of the 2015 New Beer Every Day Beer Diary Challenge, #ottbeerdiary. Over the course of 2015, I will be trying a new beer every day. Please read the background in the link above, and enjoy reading about the most recently tasted beers below. If you’d like to join the challenge as well, let me know in the comments below, and be sure to check out Grown-up Travel Guide and his #grownupbeerdiary, where Andy Higgs came up with the diary format in use below. You can catch up on all of our posts as part of the challenge under the tag ottbeerdiary.
Day 234: August 22, 2015
Diary entry:
Ok, I’m sick and tired of being behind.
Even though the weather outside today was gorgeous, and every craving was telling me to get out there and enjoy the weather, I was determined to get caught up on these beer diary posts.
I spent the whole day writing posts and editing photos, and made a very good dent in the backlog.
I did have an opportunity to head out in the evening, but by then, I decided to just take it easy and save myself for tomorrow, where there’s another fun event on tap.
The Beer:
Name: The Politician
Style: Saison / Farmhouse IPA
Producer: Brouwerij Hof Ten Dormaal
Alcohol content: 7.5%
Bottle size: 0.375l
Purchased from: De Caigny in Essen, Belgium
The Politician by Brouwerij Hof ten Dormaal. Part of their Taste Lab Limited edition series. A saison ipa? Intriguing. And tasty! The aroma is more funk. The flavor a nice blend of funk and bitter, a little bit of sweet. I like it!
