This post is a part of the 2015 New Beer Every Day Beer Diary Challenge, #ottbeerdiary. Over the course of 2015, I will be trying a new beer every day. Please read the background in the link above, and enjoy reading about the most recently tasted beers below. If you’d like to join the challenge as well, let me know in the comments below, and be sure to check out Grown-up Travel Guide and his #grownupbeerdiary, where Andy Higgs came up with the diary format in use below. Day 16: January 16, 2015
Diary entry:
Short day at work today, actually left at around 5PM! The joys of an offsite meeting all afternoon. This has been an interesting week. Hard to believe we’re already halfway through the month!
Made it to the gym today, and now to prepare for the weekend. A few beer events, and some tour guiding. Should be a fun weekend!
The Beer:
Name: Troubadour Imperial Stout
Style: Imperial Russian Stout
Producer: Brouwerij The Musketeers
Alcohol content: 9.0%
Bottle size: 0.33l
Purchased from: De Hopduvel in Ghent.
Troubadour Imperial Stout by Brouwerij The Musketeers. Most of the other Troubadour beers are available herein the Netherlands, but I have never seen this one here before. Very glad to find it. Dark brown to black pour. A fine Imperial Russian Stout, with plenty of roasted malts, coffee, and bitterness. I like it!
