This post is a continuation of the 2015 New Beer Every Day Beer Diary Challenge, #ottbeerdiary. Over the course of 2015, I drank at least one new beer every day. Please read the background in the link above, and enjoy reading about the most recently tasted beers below. This year I may deviate from the diary format in some posts, hoping to concentrate more on the locations and the breweries I am enjoying. If you’d like to join the challenge as well, let me know in the comments below. You can catch up on all of our posts as part of the challenge under the tag ottbeerdiary.
Day 386: January 21, 2016
Diary entry:
The morning was entirely full with meetings, including a need to cross campuses a few times. No time even for lunch!
My last meeting finished off in my main office building, and since I have a team offsite tomorrow in which I need to present, I planned the end of the day to finish that off.
Unfortunately, a few last minute requests came in as well and by the time I got to preparing for tomorrow, it was already 6PM, and I wound up not leaving work until 8PM. Too late for my hoped for gym visit, especially with no lunch or dinner yet.
*sigh* – Excuses.
The Beer:
Name: Wadesda #6
Style: Belgian Blond Ale
Producer: Brasserie de la Senne
Alcohol content: 5.5%
Bottle size: 0.33 l
Purchased from: De Caigny in Essen, Belgium
Wadesda #6 by Brasserie de la Senne of Brussels, Belgium. Sixth in a line of De La Senne Ezperiments. 5.5% ABV in a 33cl Bottle. Meant to be enjoyed fresh, not aged. A Hoppy blonde. Bitter with a bit of sweet as well. Very well balanced, but every sip finishing off with some citrus bitter. Wadesda #6 is brewed with freeze dried Perle hops from Locher-Hopfen, compared with their normal Perle hop pellets in Wadesda #5.
