This post is a part of the 2015 New Beer Every Day Beer Diary Challenge, #ottbeerdiary. Over the course of 2015, I will be trying a new beer every day. Please read the background in the link above, and enjoy reading about the most recently tasted beers below. If you’d like to join the challenge as well, let me know in the comments below, and be sure to check out Grown-up Travel Guide and his #grownupbeerdiary, where Andy Higgs came up with the diary format in use below. Day 199: July 18, 2015
Diary entry:
While trying to figure out what to do this weekend, I saw that there was a beer and burger event taking place on Sunday in ‘s-Hertogenbosh. Unfortunately as is often the case, I found out just a little too late, and the event was already sold out.
The good news was, however, that the event is on Sunday, and I still have the whole day Saturday free, so I decided to make my own version of the event by heading up to Den Bosch to ‘t-Paultje and Bar 35 for my own Burger and Beer event.
The Beer:
Name: Wiggle West Coast IPA
Style: American IPA
Producer: Tender Brewery
Alcohol content: 5.5%
Bottle size: 0.33l
Purchased from: ‘t-Paultje in ‘s-Hertogenbosch, the Netherlands
Wiggle West Coast IPA by Tender Brewery. A nice, citrusy bitterness. Only 5.5%, the first, and at the moment, only beer from this new Dutch brewery, contract brewed at De Molen.
Commercial Description: Wiggle is not your typical IPA. Its taste of piney hops with citrus and floral notes gives it a light-bodied and crisp feel, with a hazy amber color. Wiggle has a unique, one of a kind flavor and with only 5,5% it is incredibly drinkable.
