This post is a part of the 2015 New Beer Every Day Beer Diary Challenge, #ottbeerdiary. Over the course of 2015, I will be trying a new beer every day. Please read the background in the link above, and enjoy reading about the most recently tasted beers below. If you’d like to join the challenge as well, let me know in the comments below, and be sure to check out Grown-up Travel Guide and his #grownupbeerdiary, where Andy Higgs came up with the diary format in use below. You can catch up on all of our posts as part of the challenge under the tag ottbeerdiary.
Day 280: October 7, 2015
Diary entry:
Got to leave home slightly later today as I had to drop my car off for service. Always interesting when the roads you plan to take are all under construction and you wind up exploring all kinds of detours and back roads to find an alternate route to your destination. A great way to explore your city!
Finally made it though, and even found my way back in record time when it was ready to be picked up. Winter tires are on (yeah, it’s only October, but it’s getting cold already and they told me it was time) and the brakes are fixed, so ready for some weekend trips this winter.
Work itself was just a normal day, with one really fun session in the afternoon where I got to explain my vision on one hot topic to a few people who were really enthusiastic about what I was presenting. Now to convince the rest!
The Beer:
Name: Wolf Carte Blanche
Style: Belgian Blonde / Golden Ale
Producer: Brouwerij Wolf
Alcohol content: 8.5%
Bottle size: 33 cl
Purchased from: De Hopduvel bottleshop in Ghent, Belgium
Wolf Carte Blanche by Brouwerij Wolf. A very nice blonde. Fruity and bitter on both the aroma and the flavor. A little bit spicy. Quite good. 8.5% abv.
