This post is a part of the 2015 New Beer Every Day Beer Diary Challenge, #ottbeerdiary. Over the course of 2015, I will be trying a new beer every day. Please read the background in the link above, and enjoy reading about the most recently tasted beers below. If you’d like to join the challenge as well, let me know in the comments below, and be sure to check out Grown-up Travel Guide and his #grownupbeerdiary, where Andy Higgs came up with the diary format in use below. You can catch up on all of our posts as part of the challenge under the tag ottbeerdiary.
From December 1 through December 24, I’m going to try to use a Christmas Beer for each day of Advent as part of my #ottadvent15 2015 Advent Calendar. Follow along with the tag ottadvent15.
Day 336: December 2, 2015
Diary entry:
Early morning start in the office for a call with my colleagues in Korea, which went pretty well. This followed by a workshop for the Domain Change Team to explain and go through the presentation we plan to give to the project board tomorrow.
I had a very information information session on one of the projects that will be seriously impacted bu our project, and then a final meeting on the makeup of my department and what we’re going to be working on ext year.
Had a request to join a colleague for a beer at the bar owned by Dennis of Oldskool Brewery, so headed off to that right after my last meeting of the afternoon. Unfortunately, they had no Christmas beers, so I had to pull one from my stash at home for tonight.
The Beer:
Name: X-Mas Zinnebir (2015)
Style: Dark Ale
Producer: Brasserie de la Senne
Alcohol content: 8.5%
Bottle size: 0.33 l
Purchased from: De Bierbrigadier bottle shop in Eindhoven
X-Mas Zinnebir (2015) by Brasserie de la Senne. While I do like many of De la Senne’s beers, this one is a bit too sweet for my taste. Still a decent bitterness underneath. Poured a dark mahogany color, with a slight head. Aromas of sweetness and a little caramel.
