Day 220: August 8, 2015
Diary entry:
A quiet day, relaxing at home. A very lazy Saturday. Sometimes, just what the doctor ordered.
I did wander out later in the evening to enjoy the summer weather on the terraces in the center of town…but otherwise, couch, movies, and try to catch up on some work.
The Beer:
Name: Zure Van Tildonk (2014)
Style: Belgian Blonde & Sour Ale
Producer: Brouwerij Hof Ten Dormaal
Alcohol content: 6.0%
Bottle size: 0.75l
Purchased from: De Caigny in Essen, Belgium
Zure van Tildonk (2014) by Brouwerij Hof ten Dormaal. Yeasty, funky aroma. Sour, yet sweet. But not syrupy sweet. Or acid burn sour. Well balanced.
Commercial Description:
An original Belgian Sour Ale from the farm brewery Hof Karen Dormaal. With this beer, we strives to create a special, spontaneously-fermented beer via traditional methods using ambient yeast from our farm in Tildonk. Each batch of Zure Van Tildonk is carefully aged in our cellars at the Engelburch Monastery for several months prior to release.
