23-Jan-2016: Hr. Frederiksen by Amager Bryghus of Kastrup, Denmark, a suburb of Copenhagen. 10.5% ABV from 50cl bottle. Batch 833. Pitch black color. A little head on the pour. Dark bitter flavors, a little burnt. Cocoa aroma. Full body, not watery at all. Flavor even deeper than the aroma. Eight different roasted malts and American Centennial hops give the body and the bitterness. #ottbeerdiary

19-Dec-2015: Christmas Eve at a New York City Hotel Room by Evil Twin Brewing. A 10% ABV Imperial Stout. Holy burnt tootsie roll! This has the flavors; the dark chocolate/caramel and some vanilla. But then a burnt smokeyness follows. Nice! #ottbeerdiary #ottadvent15

09-Oct-2015: Daybreak by Hill Farmstead Brewery and Mikkeller. To end the week, break the day! Bitter dark chocolate aroma. More bitter dark flavor. Some toast from barrel. Anise undertones. Some hints of the citrus and French orange liqueur as well. Nice! #ottbeerdiary

02-Aug-2015: Grand Cru Framboise 2012 by Kolding Bryglaug. A bit disappointing. Not much sour. Wee bit of funk. Not too much fruit. Perhaps past prime? Seems too soon. Oh well. #ottbeerdiary

31-Mar-2015 : 4D Ilan by Kolding Bryglaug. Collaboration between 4D and Kolding Bryglaug. The first beer from American Brewer '4th Dimension'. Soured through a whole year and blended with both a barrel-aged version and a version matured on Venezuelan rum. Soft, funky, tart and oaky dry. No carbonation, but very flavorful. You get the drying and the rum flavors on the aftertaste. #ottbeerdiary

23-Jan-2015 : Sans Frontiere White wine barrel aged by To Øl from Copenhagen. A lovely beer! A Belgian blonde at its base, but with hints of grape from the barrel and a sour finish from the brettanomyces. #ottbeerdiary
