02-Jan-2016: Lambiek Special (2015) by Geuzestekerij De Cam. Sharing this with my brother to help introduce him to Belgian Lambic style beers. This was delicious! Not much pop of the cork, but enough slight fizz in the pour. Beautiful red color, even though not a Kriek. A funky and slightly fruity aroma. The sour base is delightful, with the absorbed berries giving a great fruit flavor. Gooseberries, Blackberries, and sour cherries. #ottbeerdiary

01-Jan-2016: Hausmarke 4: Flanders Red Ale by Brauwerk. Perhaps not as legendary as the Belgian originals, but still quite a tasty rendition. Decent sourness. Not too much sweetness. #ottbeerdiary

31-Dec-2015: Biere de Noël by 1516 Brewing Company of Vienna, Austria. 365 days, DONE! And congrats to @grownuptravelguide for also competing the whole year! New Year's Eve festivities here in Vienna are very reminiscent of a Christmas Market, so we'll go with the local Christmas Beer. A very nice beer. Some spices, and a well balanced bit of sweet. Happy New Year!!! #ottbeerdiary

29-Dec-2015: Blue Sky Blue Sea by Siren Craft Brew. Cloudberry? Who ever heard of a cloudberry? Apparently they come from the northern part of Sweden. Well, it's a damned good sour flavor. With a very drying, fruity aftertaste. I like! #ottbeerdiary

26-Dec-2015: Stille Nacht (2015) by De Dolle Brewery. 2nd Kerstdag, so perhaps my last featured Christmas beer of the year. Regarded as one of the best to come out each year, and often cellared for a few years before drinking. This is from this year's second bottling. It's tasty, but a lot of the flavors are still hidden below the alcohol. You can tell they're there, but they need time. #ottbeerdiary

25-Dec-2015: It's the Most Wonderful Time For a Beer by Het Uiltje. A 10% Scottish Gruit. A very nice, spicy, rich beer. Aroma of black liquorice. Very thick. A most wonderful beer for a most wonderful time. And be sure to read the bottle notes for the sardonic story behind the name. #ottbeerdiary
