4-Mar-2015 : Sea Hag IPA by New England Brewing Co. - A nice IPA from a local Connecticut brewery. This one's a beauty; a rich and full bodied India Pale Ale with complex malt character blended with cascade and noble hops. The end result is a beer that satisfies the "hop head" out there and won't chase away the newcomer. Drink it. It's good. #ottbeerdiary

2-Mar-2015 : Orange Wheat by Hangar 24 Craft Brewery : Crisp, Tangy, and Refreshing. The citrus aroma, light airy mouthfeel, and tangy finish are this unfiltered beer’s trademarks. This is accomplished by adding whole locally grown oranges throughout the brewing process, which perfectly coalesce with the wheat and barley base. Our oranges are purchased through the Old Grove Orange company (affiliate of the non-profit Inland Orange Conservancy) whose main objectives are to save the local orange trees from disappearing, spread the word about the local citrus growing heritage, and to feed the hungry with the unutilized oranges. Please visit them at www.inlandorange.org. All we need to do to save the orange trees is to eat or drink locally grown oranges! #ottbeerdiary

28-Feb-2015 : Pale Ale 394 by AleSmith Brewing Company. A lovely pale ale tribute to Tony Gwynn, one of the greatest baseball players of my generation. Hoppy and complex, this beer would be great in the clutch. #ottbeerdiary

27-Feb-2015 : Denogginizer by Drake's Brewing Company. An Imperial (or Double) India Pale Ale, Denogginizer is a big, bold beer hopped with an abundant amount of Simcoe and Summit hops and a touch of CTZ and Cascade. Crystal and Munich malts add color and flavor and help balance out the hop assault. Denogginizer is also Drake’s most powerful regular offering, at a whopping 9.75% alcohol by volume! #ottbeerdiary

25-Feb-2015 : Alaskan Amber by Alaskan Brewing Co. An Alt style beer from Alaskan Brewing Co. of Juneau, Alaska. A little sweeter than the last Alt I had in Düsseldorf, but still some bitterness and a decent overall beer. #ottbeerdiary

24-Feb-2015 : Kersepit by Kasparus Bierbrouwerij. Last beer from my birthday 12-pack of Dutch beers. A cherry beer. 5% ABV. A semi-decent sour base. The fruit seems to be more of a syrup than real fruit to me, but not overly sweet. Drinkable. #ottbeerdiary

23-Feb-2015 : Koud Vuur by Bax Bier. One of the last beers from my birthday 12-pack. Baxbier's Smoked Porter, Koud Vuur. The smokiness comes from smoked and roasted malts. But not a lot of sweetness under the smoke, so very enjoyable. #ottbeerdiary
