<p>We tried this Vietnamese specialty last month in Saigon.  It is basically minced shrimp shaped around a piece of sugarcane and then grilled.  This picture is from the InterContinental Asiana Saigon&#8217;s Market 39 restaurant buffet, where there is a fresh grilling station and you can watch your food being made fresh.</p>
<p>The shrimp has a surprisingly mild flavor and many people suck on the sweet sugarcane while nibbling on the shrimp.</p>
