21-Jul-2015 : Black by Brasserie de Bellevaux. A decent 6.3% Stout. Some dark flavors of coffee and chocolate, with a little bitterness. Pretty good! #ottbeerdiary

19-Jul-2015 : Limited Edition Oude Kriek (2013) by Brewery Timmermans. I'll be honest, I wasn't expecting much from this one, thinking it would be a normal, oversweet cherry bomb Kriek. I was happily mistaken! This beer has a very sour lambic base, which balances out quite well once the bottle is open a few minutes. A very enjoyable Oude Kriek! #ottbeerdiary

18-Jul-2015 : Wiggle West Coast IPA by Tender Brewery. A nice, citrusy bitterness. Only 5.5% from this new Dutch brewery, brewed at De Molen. #ottbeerdiary

17-Jul-2015 : Double Dutch DIPA by Jopen in collaboration with Emelisse. A DIPA from two of my favorite Dutch breweries. Just released this week! This is a very nice DIPA. Good bitterness, with real flavor to boot. Well done! #ottbeerdiary

16-Jul-2015 : Brasserie LeFort by Omer Vander Ghinste Brewery. They make some nice sour beers. This one is quite a bit sweeter than my preference. But other than being way too sweet, a very well done beer. #ottbeerdiary

15-Jul-2015 : Tripel Klok by Brouwerij Boelens. Not a lot of aroma or initial flavor. The bitterness comes on just after. #ottbeerdiary

13-Jul-2015 : Hof Ten Dormaal Inferno by Brouwerij Hof Ten Dormaal. In January, 2015, the Hof ten Dormaal brewery burned to the ground, and with it their bottling line, hot room, and most of their stock. This beer is a blend from what they were able to salvage. Smokey and sour. This is actually a very good beer! #ottbeerdiary

12-Jul-2015 : Chateau Migraine by Brouwerij Het Alternatief. Great sour flavor over a nice, dark base. Love the balance. You don't catch the 10% abv at all. Suppose that's where the migraine should come in? #ottbeerdiary

11-Jul-2015 : Saison In the Abyss by Brouwerij Bliksem. Bliksem has been high on my wish list of newer Dutch breweries to try, and I was especially thrilled to see them on the list for this event. And they did not disappoint. Both Saison in the Abyss and their new Pale Rider were near the top of my list of the beers I tried today. I'm looking forward to seeing what else they come up with at upcoming festivals or in bottles as they continue to up production. #ottbeerdiary

10-Jul-2015 : Potemkin by Naparbier. Poured very thick, viscosity of engine oil. Very black. But a flavor of star anise that reminded me of some of my favorite licorice. Really liked this one. #ottbeerdiary
